A more personal way to plan

For everything you've built.

Estate planning isn't only about assets. It's about the people who matter, the values you hold, and the future you want to make possible. We start with a conversation, not a form — and move only as fast as feels right to you.

Who you'll meet

Hello, I'm Edward.

I started Heritas House because writing a will shouldn't feel cold or transactional. It's one of the most caring things you'll ever do for your family — and it deserves a patient conversation, not a template.

Over the years I've helped more than 300 Singaporean families put their wishes in writing — guiding each one through the decisions a will needs, and making sure their CPF nomination and LPA line up. For anything complex, I work alongside a practising lawyer so your plan holds up.

In their words

Families who've planned ahead.

Edward made something I'd dreaded for years feel calm and simple. No jargon, no pressure — just clear guidance until it was done.
— Mrs Tan, Bukit Timah
We did our wills and LPAs together in one sitting. He explained exactly how our CPF fit in, which no one had ever done for us.
— James & Priya, Tampines
What sold me was that he sells nothing else. Just the will, a flat fee, and honest advice. Refreshing.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Do I need a lawyer to make a will in Singapore?

No. A will doesn't have to be drafted by a lawyer to be valid — it needs to meet the legal requirements under the Wills Act and be properly signed and witnessed. We prepare your will and guide the signing correctly. For complex estates we'll tell you honestly when a specialist lawyer's input is worthwhile.

What happens if I die without a will?

Your estate is distributed under Singapore's Intestate Succession Act — a fixed formula that may not match your wishes, and the process is slower and costlier for your family. A will puts you in control of who receives what, and who administers it.

What's the difference between a will, a CPF nomination and an LPA?

A will covers most of your assets after death. A CPF nomination is separate — CPF savings pass by nomination, not by your will. An LPA (Lasting Power of Attorney) takes effect while you're alive but unable to decide for yourself. We'll make sure all three line up.

Is my will stored safely?

We'll advise you on safekeeping your original will and on registering it with the Wills Registry so your executor can locate it. Keeping the original safe and findable is as important as writing it.

Will you try to sell me insurance or investments?

No. Heritas House is fee-only. You pay a flat fee for your will, we sell no financial products, and we earn no commissions — so the advice is only ever about your plan.
